Unfortunately, due to the nature of roof repairs, additional damage, hence extra work and additional costs, is sometimes discovered hidden underneath any visible roof damage.  Unlike some roofing contractors’ Worcester Roofing and Repairs will never carry out any work that would require additional charges without putting a revised quote in writing, and receiving your written confirmation that you wish to proceed with the additional roof repair.  This ensures that you will never receive a bill higher than you expected for the repair to your roof.

Please see our FAQ ‘Can you foresee any potential issues with my roof repair job which will increase the price?’ for additional information on this subject.

It can come as a shock if you find out your expected roof repair cost significantly increases in price once work has started, if additional roofing damage is discovered.  Worcester Roofing and Repairs realise how frustrating and inconvenient it is having to cover unexpected additional costs.  It is impossible to completely prevent this type of situation from happening, as sometimes additional damage to your roof is discovered once roof materials have started to be removed, but we can minimise it by giving you our best and highly experienced advice, as to what the most likely worst case could be if extra damage to your roof was discovered after work has started, and what we would expect the most probable case (and cost) to expect.  All this will be detailed and explained on your written quotation.

Absolutely: we do not sub-contract any roofing work out to any other roofing contractors.

No: we do not ask for any deposits up front!  Unfortunately, there are some unscrupulous roofing businesses around, and everyone has heard stories of homeowners paying roofing contractors upfront, either sizable deposits or sometimes even paying in full before roofing work has even started, only for the roofing business to mess the customer around for weeks with excuses, causing endless stress, and hassle, and then disappearing without completing or even starting the repair to the roof.  Worcester Roofing and Repairs want all our new clients, who have never used our services before, to have absolutely zero concerns that about being ‘duped’ by a legit looking roofing business that disappears without doing any roofing work after they have received a sizable deposit.  All this will be clearly laid out in your written quotation, but generally we do not ask for any money until the work is completed, so that you know that we are not going to ‘disappear’ without your roofing project being completed to your satisfaction.  However, for some larger roofing jobs, we may request and mutually agree staged payments, but again in these cases you will see each stage of your roofing project completed before payment is due.  Because we shoulder all the risk and expense, and cover all costs ourselves upfront, we do request full payment within 24 hours of you receiving your invoice after the roofing work being completed to your satisfaction (unless mutually agreed prior to work commencing and detailed in the quote).

Absolutely! ALL our roofing work and roofing materials are guaranteed.  The length of the guarantees do vary depending upon what type of work and which materials are used, but all this is detailed in your written quotation.

You can trust that Worcester Roofing and Repairs only ever offer totally transparent pricing, and your final invoice will never surprise you by being any different from what you have agreed to in writing. Your initial written quotation will include any costs such as scaffolding and rubbish removal.

Our initial roof inspection will detail every issue that we discover with your roof.  If we identify that you have a potential roof problem that is not causing the current issue, we will still make you aware of it.  You will find that having any additional roofing work carried out at the same time will work out much cheaper than having it done separately at a later date, and preventing an upcoming roof repair is cheaper than waiting for it to get worse and requiring a much more expensive roof repair later.

Worcester Roofing and Repair will take, and show you pictures of any damage to your roof when we quote.  We will also take pictures of any stages relevant to the roof repair, and you will be shown pictures of the work completed so you can visually sign off the roofing work before your invoice is due.  This way you can be rest assured that you are not being asked to pay for work that has not been carried out properly.

Ideally we prefer payment to be made by bank transfer: all our account and payment details will be on your invoice.  We will accept cash, generally for smaller roof repairs, but prefer not to take cheque payments.
